Help your child gain confidence in writing while exploring the adventures of the ancient world! Through engaging literature and the study of medieval figures and historical events, students will build strong writing skills while developing a deeper appreciation for the Middle Ages.

Choose one weekly class time:

Tuesdays, 9:00–10:00 a.m. PST
Tuesdays, 4:00–5:00 p.m. PST
Wednesdays, 10:00–11:00 a.m. PST

All classes are a full-year commitment and are billed for the entire school year.

Need Extra Support?
Students who would benefit from more guided practice may enroll in a second class day each week:
Thursdays, 10:00–11:00 a.m. PST
The second class day is a full-year commitment and is billed for the entire school year. This option is best for students who need additional structure, practice, and support to make steady progress.

Learn about the class:

  • IEW-B caters to grades 6 - 8.

  • The class is designed for mid-level writing students.

  • We combine the award-winning Institute for Excellence in Writing (IEW) curriculum with grammar instruction from Fix It! Grammar: Robinhood.

  • I teach using IEW’s Structure and Style® method.

  • Students will learn to write structured, well-organized paragraphs and essays.

  • Activities consist of fun source texts, vocabulary-building games, and guided practice.

  • $95/month for 10 months

  • Charged by autopay beginning August 2026

Important Payment Policies

The $50 registration fee is non-refundable and holds your student’s place in class. ​Class tuition is non-refundable once registration is completed and the student is enrolled. The two-payment plan and monthly autopay option are offered as convenience payment options and have a higher total tuition amount than paying in full. ​A credit card must be kept on file for autopay payment plans.
